Position Summary

DIGI America, Inc. is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our Somerset, New Jersey team.

This position will support key areas of DIGI's sales business. Approximately 50% of the position will support Direct DIGI partner sales initiatives, while approximately 50% will focus on developing consumable business opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for outbound prospecting, lead generation, sales campaigns, quotation follow-up, customer communication, sales support, customer onboarding, and development of new business opportunities. This individual will work closely with DIGI's Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Label Division, and other internal teams, as well as external distributor partners.

The ideal candidate is comfortable making outbound calls, conduct sales campaigns, developing relationships, identifying sales opportunities, responding to customer requests, and consistently following up to move opportunities through the sales process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound telephone and email prospecting to identify potential sales opportunities.
• Follow up on Marketing generated leads
• Follow up with prospects and customers regarding quotations, proposals, product information, and requests for information.
• Support sales initiatives and related business-development activities.
• Respond to customer questions and coordinate appropriate responses with DIGI and distributor personnel.
• Assist with customer onboarding and ensure required information and documentation are completed accurately and timely.
• Coordinate communication between customers, DIGI departments , and partners .
• Monitor open opportunities and proactively follow up on outstanding items.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, leads, opportunities, and sales activities.
• Assist with preparation of quotations, sales information, reports, and other sales materials.
• Utilize Salesforce CRM to document customer interactions, track opportunities, maintain account records, manage follow-up activities, and support sales pipeline development.

Sales Administration & Reporting

• Maintain accurate customer, prospect, and opportunity information in Salesforce CRM and internal sales systems.
• Prepare sales activity, pipeline, and business-development reports as requested.
• Track open quotations and ensure timely follow-up.
• Assist with sales analysis and reporting.
• Monitor assigned opportunities and communicate progress.
• Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and business-development initiatives.
• Maintain organized records of customer communications and sales activities.

Cross-Functional Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Service, Label Division, Finance, and other DIGI departments.
• Coordinate with business partners as necessary to support customer and sales activities.
• Communicate customer needs, questions, and issues to the appropriate internal departments.
• Follow through on customer and internal requests to ensure timely resolution.
• Develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of inside sales, business development, B2B sales, customer service, or related experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable making outbound sales calls and conducting email prospecting.
• Strong follow-up, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.

Preferred:

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
• Experience in B2B sales or business development.
• Experience with Salesforce CRM systems.
• Experience with retail grocery industry, technology, hardware, labels, printing, consumables, distribution, or related products.
• Experience with sales quotations and pipeline management.
• Sales prospecting experience via telephone and email

The position may also be eligible for a sales incentive or commission program in accordance with the Company's applicable compensation plan.

Working Conditions

This position is based in DIGI America's Somerset, New Jersey office and requires regular interaction with customers, prospects, distributors, and DIGI employees.
