Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Technician

Location: Pennsauken, NJ
Pay: $25–$45+ per hour, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigerant, airflow, and control-system problems
• Service rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, package units, walk-in coolers, reach-in coolers, freezers, and related equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance, system inspections, and equipment start-ups
• Repair or replace compressors, motors, fans, controls, valves, electrical components, and refrigeration components
• Recover, evacuate, charge, and test refrigeration systems
• Verify completed repairs and ensure safe, efficient equipment operation
• Explain equipment conditions and recommended solutions clearly to customers
• Complete service reports, work orders, and equipment documentation accurately
• Follow company safety procedures, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes
• Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas

Qualifications

• Previous commercial HVAC and refrigeration service experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
• Working knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical systems, controls, airflow, and mechanical components
• Experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment and refrigeration systems
• EPA Section 608 certification
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and equipment specifications
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of commercial HVAC and refrigeration work
